Ellaina graduated on Sunday to a nursery crib. She is now able to maintain her body temperature. They kept her isolette hot just incase she has some trouble but was doing well so far! They were short on nursery cribs so she is riding it old school in a wooden crib!
Our new set up!
Mommy changing my very poopy diaper! Whew... Who knew a little person could create a stink this bad!

Ellaina -
Mom no disturbing me! I am hungry!
Ahh... I am well fed and ready for my nap!
Jackson
Say what??
Your funny mommy! So happy!
Chloe
So peaceful when she sleeps... She does not want anyone to steel her pacifier! She has a death grip on it.

We graduated to the Special Care Nursery!
We graduated to the Special Care Nursery. This is still part of the NICU but it is for the not as seriously sick babies! The NICU was getting in a bunch more babies in and ours were the healthiest on that side so they graduated!
Yeah big week for us! We are still in our Isolettes but hopefully those will be gone in another week or two once we can maintain our body temperature at 27degrees C. We are doing well and gaining weight!

We all enjoy our time resting on mama! Sometimes mom even wants to fall asleep! Thank goodness for those heated blankets.

NICU - Pictures
The kids are doing well. Each child is progressing at their own rate. They are slowly upping each of their feedings, in terms of volume and caloric intake. Their max volume is amount is calculated for each baby based on their weight. Once they max out their volume then they add additional calories to the same amount to help them gain weight.
Ellaina is moving along the quickest and has had her cannula out once and had quite a few breathing events so they put it back in. Has her PIK line out and is taking all her feedings by mouth.
Chloe is right behind her big sister. She also had her cannula out once and had it put back in to ease the number of breathing events. Has her PIK line out and is taking all her feedings by mouth. These are Jeff's hands taking care of her.
Jackson is our trailer which is apparently typical for boys) he is still on his cannula and has had some trouble with spitting up causing a few events. He still using his IV and had a dose of antibiotics when they thought he had an infection. Although his cultures were clear.
HEre is Jeff and I holding Ellaina. We are doing Kangaroo Care.
Enjoy the photos!
